The Kentucky Thoroughbreds Pickleball team bursts onto the court with the same strength, tradition and winning spirit that define the Bluegrass State.
Based in Lexington, KY, the Thoroughbreds are proud to be one of the founding teams of the USLPL 60+ league. Owned by two top masters pro players, the team shines a spotlight on friendship, fun, and competitive pickleball. They are committed to growing the game, building community and proving that high level competition has no age limit.

Eddie Anderson and Marc Bondi
Marc Bondi is the proud owner of the Jersey Shore Shots and a Certified PPR pickleball coach based in Princeton, NJ. A lifelong athlete, Marc grew up playing baseball and tennis and has completed the Marine Corps Marathon four times. As a pickleball competitor, he has earned Gold Medals in Men’s 5.0 Singles at both the 2024 USA Pickleball National Championships in Mesa, Arizona, and the 2023 Minto U.S. Open in Naples, Florida. He also captured a Bronze Medal in the Master’s Senior Pro Men’s Doubles division at the 2024 Zimmer Biomet APP New York City Open. Marc has consistently medaled in both singles and doubles at premier events including the Minto U.S. Open, USA Pickleball Nationals, APP tournaments, and more. His passion for competition, athleticism, and commitment to excellence continue to make him a respected presence on and off the court.
Born and raised in Kentucky, Eddie played sports all his life, with basketball being his first love - playing and coaching for 30 years. His "amazing" pickleball journey began six years ago. He quickly started traveling to different parts of Florida to find advanced play and has played tournaments all over the U.S. He met the love of his life, wife Marina at a tourney in Indianapolis. He has been a PPR certfied pickleball professional - helping advanced kids get better, including some who now play at the pro level.
